I know there are so many diet fads out at the moment that it is very easy to be skeptical…

“Believe me, I am the biggest skeptic in the world!” Until, I tried the 6 Week Body Makeover.

While watching late night TV and snacking, I saw the 6 Week Body Makeover commercial. This was my very first time seeing this Ad and something made me sit up (put away the snacks) and started to watch.  Being the super skeptic that I am, I usually switch the channel as soon as any diet infomercial starts to show. Maybe it was the “real success stories” that hit home with me or the fact it seemed very easy to follow.

As busy as I am with the new baby and a very supportive husband,  I have found it very hard to find some “me time” since I gave birth. I will be at the end of my maternity leave soon and the 6 Week Body Makeover could not have come at  better time. I saw the answer. Something that I can do quickly and easily in the privacy of my own home and be able to walk back into the office looking as if I’d just spent the last year at a health club.

But like I said, I’m a super skeptic and did I mention procrastinator… hmm that’s for another post. I still needed more convincing.

Eat more, exercise less.. are you kidding me?!

Then my “Aha moment!” came.

Tim (my husband) was watching a football game when the 6 Week Body Makeover commercial came on. I was watching him from the kitchen and saw him grab a pen to write down the information… hmmm. I said nothing.

A couple weeks later the a package arrived and Tim quickly took it to his den and tried to hide it.

Busted!

He confessed to wanting to lose weight for me and I that gave me the “Just Do It” attitude. Doing for Tim and myself made, showing off at the office a distant third.

We both felt very confident with and satisfied with the system, especially the full refund if we did not see results after 6 weeks. Well guess what.

6 Week Body Makeover

I am now in my third week (before and after pics will be posted shortly) and I will say this…. “They ain’t getting it back, ha!”. I’m glad we ordered it when we did because there was a back order issued that caused a delivery delay of a few days.

Oh yeah, I forgot… Tim has also lost a considerable amount of weight and feeling great. We have been eating only what the recipe book has directed and will be posting more information to this blog regarding the 6 Week Body Makeover Recipe Book.

6 Week Body Makeover by Micheal Thurmond is now officially my favorite weight loss book.  I am extremely thankful that my husband took the initiative to purchase the book a few weeks ago. My success has been wonderful and so as his, losing a combined 39 pounds (not in 6 weeks) just remember the higher you weight is when you start the more you will lose with the first six weeks.

It’s time to endorse… Since I do not want to make this blog entirely about the program (which I could easily do), there are so many other things that makes the 6 Week Body Makeover Book so involving.

You have to really take a good look at yourself and discover what is your motivation, inner thoughts; are you and emotional eater, make a lot of excuses or just simply have old habits are hard to break. Now we are focusing on cooking “real” whole foods more fruits and exercising. You see even though we are using the 6 Week Body Makeover Book, does not means after 6 weeks we will stop our healthy lifestyle. The word diet has such a negative connotation that most people hurry to get through the prescribe duration and then quickly fall back into old habits. Guess what… old habits return with a vengeance.

Don’t get me wrong here. I’m not saying you can’t treat yourself every once in a while, but before you do, be confident that you have successfully created new and healthy habits and these treats are just a form of being in control. But only do this after you have achieved the weight you had set for your goal.

This book and program has made it much easier for me  to eliminate a lot of bad foods such as, refined sugar. I feel as if I’m starting to learn how to cook and eat all over again. My food combinations, quantity per serving and daily eating frequency has all been fined tuned for the best results thanks to this book. Once we received our 6 week body makeover package and before we did anything else, we had to determine what 6 Week Body Makeover body type we were. This was a crucial step in order to achieve success with the program. By know your 6 Week Body Makeover body type you can now start choosing the correct foods that will ensure success.

The book lists they body types by naming them with a letter for easy remembrance.

6 Week Body Makeover body type A – Endomorph
6 Week Body Makeover body type B – Endo-meso
6 Week Body Makeover body type C – Meso-endo
6 Week Body Makeover body type D – Endo-ecto
6 Week Body Makeover body type E – Ecto-endo

Let’s take a look at each type of body in greater depth:

Body Type A,  being the more severe are people who are very over-weight, gain weight easily and find it virtually impossible to get rid of it. Obesity can easily be reached for people of this body type.

Body Type B, though not as severe as Body Type A, gains weight very easily  and they too can reach obesity very quickly. The only saving grace is their stronger muscle tone which helps to burn fat quicker.

Body Type C depicts thick muscularity. Even though we know muscles are good sometime it can work against you by localizing the fat storage instead of fat being distributed evenly over the body.

Body Type D have a very poor muscle foundation which creates no muscle tone or development which ultimately results in a very soft and flabby look.

Body Type E is a slim to skinny person that can look very tubular when they gain weight. These folks must have protein for better digestion due to their ability to consume a higher amount of carbs.

I will admit that buying the 6 Week Body Makeover was an impulse buy that I do not regret doing. After our package arrived and we started our program, I continued to do research to see if I could find any 6 Week Body Makeover complaints.  And sure enough I did. Since I have a mind of my own and refused to be swayed by one person’s opinion, I made sure I read as many 6 Week Body Makeover complaints that I could get my hands on before I wrote this post.

So here goes…. It is so easy for people who are seeking instant gratification to scream foul when then don’t look like Angelina Jolie after trying the program for 6 minutes. They climb to the nearest roof top screaming scam.

To be quite honest, the results that I’m having are wonderful, but have I lost 50 pounds in 5 days? NO! Who would want to? Listen. This program requires a lot of discipline and the result will vary depending on your bodies makeup.

I know what lack of discipline is… remember I was a super procrastinator.  commitment is  the key. I know it’s tough to give up those feel good foods but as I read each 6 Week Body Makeover complaints I could only come to one conclusion lack of commitment.

Even though the meal plan is plain and simple as eating more meals (6 per day) according to your body type and work on your problem areas to get the desired sculpting some people just still can’t follow the program.

So let me ask you this… Do you feel comfortable with what you see in the mirror right now? If not then it’s time to ask your self the question, “How bad do I want this?”

I am as excited has I’ve ever been, I can feel my body and my mind losing weight (yes my mind). Self esteem is just as important if not more so that fitting into a size 2.

So for all those folks who have not stayed committed… no more 6 Week Body Makeover complaints. Just do it.
